De-cluttering the cordspace

I think something like this or this is going to be my weekend project this weekend (or in the very near future).  Tell me, whose computer desk doesn't look like a brier patch of cords?  Heaven forbid you drop a pen or paper clip down in there, you'll never find it again, and even if you do the chances of you putting your hand in and pulling the pen (and your hand) back out again without getting ensnared is slim to none.  Add to that how crappy it looks and the space it takes up.  Even with the new box I've got cords for speakers, the printer, monitor, router and internet.  So, I'll plan this out and see what I can do.  I'll be sure to take before and after pictures.
